Little Brother's Battle:The Cancer Yo-yo

In for months out for weeks. 

In for another week and out.

Into rehab and then home.

Back to the hospital for another stay and home again.

In for a month out for a week,

and back in soon.

The yo-yo of cancer is trying to make it through. 

To and from the hospital enough times that I have the route memorized. 

These are things that I never thought would be possible, but have become a reality.

The empty echoing house, the empty table, 

the quiet settles over, so much that a pin could drop and be heard.

We somehow are trying to find a sortof normal. 

The hope is that he will find a bone marrow donor and be on the road to recovery. 

Only time can tell. 

For the time being he is preparing to go back in.....again.

After coming home at the start of August, he requested dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.
